PT Bumi Suksesindo’s (BSI) commitment to strengthening the role of local resources in the mineral sector has again won an award. This time BSI won the award as a ‘Local Resource Strengthening Corporation’ at the Beritajatim Award 2025 event. This award was given at the peak of the 19th Anniversary celebration of Beritajatim.com which was held at the Ball Room of the Whiz Luxe Spazio Hotel, Surabaya, on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.
This annual award event is intended to appreciate institutions in the industrial sector that manage natural resources in the East Java region with a sustainable and environmentally conscious approach. PT Bumi Suksesindo is considered to have succeeded in showing this dedication through various programs involving communities around the mining area.
Communication Affairs of PT Bumi Suksesindo, Namhar Hernanto, said that this award will be an encouragement for the company to continue to provide positive contributions to society.
“This award is a motivation for PT BSI to continue to provide sustainable benefits for all stakeholders, especially the community in the mining area,” said Namhar.
Meanwhile, Beritajatim Group CEO, Dwi Eko Lokononto assessed that PT BSI has succeeded in contributing to the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), creating jobs, and encouraging the growth of other supporting industries. One of the company’s real contributions is investment in infrastructure around its operational areas. The construction and repair of roads, bridges, and other public facilities not only facilitate access to mining activities, but also provide direct benefits to local residents.

Furthermore, Luki explained that the community empowerment program initiated by PT BSI was realized through community assistance through the formation of community businesses for economic independence, skills training, assistance for MSMEs, and educational activities.
