Underground Safety Superintendent

Code: UG-SAFETY SUPT

This position is generally responsible for actively participating in programs and strategic plans for OHS and underground emergency programs. In addition, this position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the underground mine safety program for all departments and contractors and ensuring that all underground operations are in compliance with BSI standards/procedures and applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • At least Diploma III or equivalent from Hygiene/HS/Public Health, Bachelor of Engineering or related major
  • At least 10 years of experience in Safety and at least 5 years in a senior position in underground mining
  • Have in-depth knowledge in the field of underground mine security, safety and emergency response
  • Mastering and able to apply SMKP, Risk Management, incident investigation, ISO 45001
  • Have safety certifications such as General K3/ AK3 Mining and POM. Having SMKP Internal Auditor certificate will be a plus
  • Able to conduct incident investigation with ICAM method/other methods
  • Able to provide training with various techniques and methods effectively, having ToT certificate will be a plus
  • Strong in terms of leadership, able to direct and develop the team
  • Compliant and have high integrity
  • Understand the principles of safety / K3 and able to apply for themselves
