PT Bumi Suksesindo (BSI) received the Prasetya Ahimsa award from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) for its success in Occupational Safety and Health (K3) practices.
The Prasetya Ahimsa Award was given to 40 companies in the mineral and coal sectors that were considered successful in implementing the highest safety standards throughout 2023. According to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, this award is given to companies that pass strict assessments, are free from fatal incidents, and comply with safety reporting.
On October 25, 2024, the award was handed over by the Director General of Minerals and Coal of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Tri Winarno, to the President Director of BSI, Adi Adriansyah Sjoekri, at a meeting of the board of directors of mineral and coal mining companies in Bandung.
“I am very proud,” said Adi Sjoekri. “With this award, we are looking to the future, ensuring that the company’s operations run safely so that the benefits for the community are even greater.”
As a subsidiary of PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk, BSI has always made K3 a top priority since it first operated the Tujuh Bukit Gold Mine, Banyuwangi, East Java. These safety standards are strictly implemented in every daily activity, ensuring a safe and sustainable work environment.
This success complements the other four awards won by BSI in the Good Mining Practices (GMP) Award 2024 on September 25. In the event, BSI received the Main Award for Technical Management of Mineral Mining, the Primary Award for Mining Safety Management, and the Aditama and Best Awards in Environmental Management. As part of the GMP Award, Prasetya Ahimsa highlighted the company’s mining safety performance.
This achievement demonstrates BSI’s dedication to maintaining the highest safety standards across all operational lines. With this award, BSI proves its commitment to safe mining operations and is in line with the government’s vision of creating a safe, sustainable mining environment that has a positive impact on the community.
