PT Bumi Suksesindo (BSI) again won an award at the 2024 Sightseeing Award. This award is a form of appreciation from the government for BSI’s success in carrying out the Community Development and Empowerment (PPM) program which has a significant impact on increasing the real income of the community around the mining area.
Adi Adriansyah Sjoekri, President Director of BSI, in his speech expressed his gratitude for this award. “This success is the result of the hard work of employees and support from various stakeholders in Banyuwangi,” said Adi when receiving an award from the Director of Mineral and Coal Program Development, Julian Ambassadur Shiddiq, Tuesday, November 26, 2024.
This award is not the first for this subsidiary of PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk. In the previous year, BSI won the 2023 Sightseeing Award thanks to its success in improving the standard of living of people in Pesanggaran District, Banyuwangi. BSI’s various PPM programs, such as skills training, infrastructure development, and economic assistance, have had a sustainable positive impact.
BSI’s PPM program focuses on eight main pillars, including education, health, economy, environment, and infrastructure, all of which are designed to support the self-reliance of communities around the mine. The Ring 1 area, including Sumberagung, Pesanggaran, Sumbermulyo, Kandangan, and Sarongan Villages, is the main priority for the implementation of this program.
BSI’s success in maintaining the Tamasya Award is clear evidence of its commitment to sustainable mine management as well as providing great benefits to the surrounding community.
The 2024 Sightseeing Award was handed over on the peak night of the 2024 Mineral and Mineral Expo, which was organized by the Directorate General of Minerals and Coal of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (EMR) at Balai Kartini, Jakarta, on November 25-26, 2024. With the theme “Minerba Moves Indonesia”, this event is a place to show the contribution of the mining sector to national development.
In the Minerba Expo exhibition, the Merdeka Group also participated by exhibiting various innovations and contributions of the group in the mining industry. The Merdeka Group booth has attracted the attention of various parties, including Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, who appreciated Merdeka’s role in advancing the mining sector in Indonesia.
